The Snowman's Song

What a joyful book! My daughter and I spent a cozy afternoon with "The Snowman's Song - A Christmas Story" a delightful story by Marilee Joy Mayfield.

"The Snowman's Song" is the story of a snowman who desperately wants to go "a caroling" like the happy children he hears. Problem is, children of snow have no voice. It comes to pass that the love and care of a kind child helps him find a special way to create his own song.

Lovely illustrations by Tracy La Rue Hohn help bring "The Snowman's Song" to life. This story is a wonderful reminder that we all have special gifts and to always believe in our dreams. It's just the story I will gladly read to my children.

What I Know

I have received a delightful book called "What I Know: Uncommon Wisdom and Universal Truths from 10-year-olds and 100-year-olds". This book is full of wonderful thoughts and kind, encouraging words collected by Roger Emerson Fishman.

Inspired by his grandfather, Roger has learned to listen to the stories of others. Everyone has value and by documenting their words their worth continues. Wisdom is everywhere, you need to know how to listen.

"What I Know: Uncommon Wisdom and Universal Truths from 10-year-olds and 100-year-olds" is filled with adorable observations and very wise words. It made me feel wonderful and hopeful. I need more books like this.
